About

The Carmi League of Arts is a not-for-profit organization established on November 17, 1974, by a group of like-minded individuals who wanted to elevate the arts in our community. We are focused on promoting visual art, drama, and music in Carmi. We support the high school drama department through volunteer work, as well as a scholarship fund, and put on several productions such as musicals, concerts, and variety shows to engage with the community. We also formed the Fine Arts Boosters (FAB) in 2023. 

The following timeline represents the history of the League since its formation. Betty Brown’s scrapbook supplements the earliest history through the early 2000’s; these as well as photo galleries compiled from League members will be added to more recent entries.
